It is my view that the illnesses are symbolic expressions of deep-seated issues. Even at the beginning of my medical practice I strove to understand all health problems as part of the whole human being that is suffering. One cannot look only at an ailment; one must also consider the person that is affected by that problem; a person with his/her very own history and situation.
Rather than looking just for causes outside the body, my approach is to consider external factors as well as the circumstances of the person's life, mindset, feelings and how all these interact.
We are fascinating beings that consist of bodies, minds, emotions and souls. Having a holistic approach is, in my opinion, what honours our existence. This is my approach to the healing process and working in that way allows me to enjoy my art to the utmost.
